Shipping Policy

We handle our shipping costs and order checkout a little differently than some businesses.

We do not charge a flat rate shipping fee, nor do we offer ‘free shipping’. What we DO do, is to charge you precisely what either FedEx or USPS charges us to get your order to you. No more, no less. There are no handling or ‘packing’ fees. Nor are there any hidden charges. We always look for the least expensive shipping option, whether it be FedEx Ground, Home Delivery, or Priority Mail to get your order to you efficiently and cost effectively.

But, to do it this way, we sometimes have to get a little bit creative with how we pack your order. And that is where our experience counts. For some people, this means we send their order in 2 ‘regional rate’ USPS boxes. For others, it ships FedEx. It all depends on what you choose, and where you live relative to us in Indiana.

For this reason, we ask for your phone number on the order form. We call at your convenience to obtain your credit card information. At the same time, we can give you a good estimate of your shipping charges. We may also ask if you want to add or subtract any bags from the order, if we think that it will help optimize your shipping cost. Our USPS boxes, for example, are all flat-rate type boxes. It costs the same to ship a flat rate box regardless of how many bags are in the box. We think you should know that. We also want you to know that we give you that information only as an fyi–NOT as an up-sell.

You work hard for your money–and we make sure that you don’t spend a dime more than you should on shipping.
