Debbie Anderson (aka ‘The Sconelady’) is the owner and founder of Victorian House Scones. A (now retired) biologist by profession, she is a self-taught baker, and many years ago became slightly obsessed with creating the perfect scone. Along the way, many squirrels were fed, as well as her kids and any of their friends that happened to be hanging out at the house while she was baking.
In 2003, with the encouragement of family and friends, she decided to test the waters and see if other people might be interested in her scones. She figured out how to transform her recipes into mixes, and thus Victorian House Scones came to be. Twenty(!!!) years later all our mixes are still created by hand and by us. We promise that each mix delivers true ‘baked from scratch’ flavor and quality—while giving you complete control over all perishable add-ins.
Heather Turner is our Marketing Specialist. She handles all our social media platforms (thank heavens!!!), and ensures that our message stays on point while keeping it fun and lively.
John Anderson was instrumental in guiding the formative years of Victorian House Scones. Besides his insightful business advice, he originated the role of Chief Guinea Pig and Taste Tester, and his comments and discerning taste buds helped define and refine the mixes we sell today. His wisdom and counsel are missed daily by us all.
