Lemon Poppyseed scone mix has a fan club all its own. The scones have the light, delicate flavor of fresh lemons, and can be glazed with a combination of lemon juice and confectioners sugar. If you are looking for something just a little sweet, but light in flavor, this scone mix is the answer. You will add butter and buttermilk to the mix, along with a little lemon juice. Butter Brickle is a scone mix flavor that evolved during the search for something a little different. It is a brown sugar scone, and bakes up with a rich, darker color than the other scones. Each scone is speckled throughout with Heath Almond Brickle Chips—which provide a warm, crunchy flavor. Butter Brickle scones make a wonderful afternoon snack with a cup of tea or coffee! “It tastes like Christmas” was the first feedback I received about our Gingerbread scones. These scones have a truly old-fashioned gingerbread taste — rich in ginger, with subtle hints of both cinnamon and allspice, and the bite of black pepper. They remind me of the gingersnap cookies my mother used to keep in the house — rich and warm, but with a bit of a snap. Indian Chai is our newest flavor of scone mix-and much thanks and appreciation must go to Danielle Beaudette of The Cozy Tea Cart for sharing her know how in the development of this flavor. The scone mix contains black tea, along with the wonderful Indian chai spicing-ground cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and pepper. The aroma is spectacular, and the flavor of the resulting scone has all the subtleties and nuances of those fabulous spices.
