Debbie Anderson.jpgDebbie Anderson aka ‘The Sconelady’ is the owner and founder of Victorian House Scones. A biologist by profession, she is a self-taught baker—and many years ago became slightly obsessed with creating the perfect scone. Along the way, many squirrels were fed, as well as her kids and any of their friends that happened to be hanging out at the house while she was baking.

In 2003, with the encouragement of family and friends, she decided to test the waters and see if other people might be interested in her scones. She figured out how to take her recipes into mixes, and thus Victorian House Scones came to be. Ten plus years later all our mixes are still created by hand and by us. We promise that each mix delivers true ‘baked from scratch’ flavor and quality—while giving you complete control over all perishable add-ins.

John Anderson-1.jpgJohn Anderson plays many important behind-the-scenes roles in Victorian House Scones. He originated the role of chief guinea-pig and taste tester, and his comments and discerning taste buds have helped refine the mixes we’ve developed over the years. He also proudly wears the title of Sherpa—as he is the person who makes sure all our shipments get delivered to FedEx or USPS. He is our second-in-command at our booth during trade shows, and is often the voice answering the phone when customers call.

A retired (we use that term loosely) cabinetmaker specializing in antique restoration—he owned his own business for many years, and brings that experience and expertise to the business side of Victorian House Scones.


Kay Lee Robbins.jpgKay Lee Mynatt is the creative genius behind all our private label design work. A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Graphic Design, she works for a major design firm in Indianapolis, and freelances evenings and weekends for us. We love her fresh creative approach to projects, and are thrilled to have her a part of our team.




andybentley.jpgAndy Bentley is the newest addition to our team. Andy brings a variety of skills and experience to the table (including baking AND eating scones!), and has agreed to work with us a few hours each month. He will assist in new inquiry follow-up, data analysis, marketing strategies, and reminder emails, among other things. He lives and works in New York City.
